The Wipe Scheduler is an effective means to protect user identity and sensitive data in case of mobile phone theft or loss. It will securely delete all information from a compromised smartphone – either if it detects an untrusted SIM or it receives a specific SMS with a pass-phrase that will trigger data wiping.
The Wipe Scheduler is also a solution for those who want to securely and timely get rid of data that could possibly compromise them - be it SMS or email messages. You may simply configure the software to automatically delete all SMS messages once you soft reset the smartphone. SecuWipe can also wipe them, for example, every 2nd hour or every other day. Or if you have occasionally left your smartphone at your desk, you may want to send an SMS with a password to it to delete all private data.
The following SecuWipe options will allow you to configure wipe scheduler to protect your private data:
- SMS based wiping – SecuWipe will wipe selected data files if a specific SMS with password is received.
- Wiping on Untrusted SIM will wipe selected data if an untrusted SIM is inserted into the device SIM slot.
- No SIM or Phone off will wipe the device if it has been stolen and the intruder has removed the SIM card or disabled the phone option.
- Time based wiping – SecuWipe will wipe the desired data on hourly, daily, monthly or yearly basis.
